A local hospice is hoping flashing bunny-eared wearing fundraisers willing to put in the miles to raise funds will be out in force this September.
With St Nicholas Hospice Care’s 2022 Girls Night Out walk set to take place on Saturday, 10 September, the charity, which supports those across West Suffolk and Thetford facing dying, caring and grief, is pleased to announce Suffolk focused developer Jaynic will be the walk’s main sponsor for the third year running.
Charlie De-Moore, the hospice’s events fundraiser, said: “We are so pleased that Jaynic will be supporting our Jaynic’s Girls Night Out for a third time. Girls Night Out is our biggest annual fundraising event, and we rely on the funds it raises to help pay for our services and support.
“For the last two years, Jaynic’s Girls Night Out events have taken place during the pandemic. In 2020 we asked people to walk in their own areas, and then in 2021, we returned to Angel Hill for a more traditional walk, but we still faced an uncertain time in the lead-up to the event and had to put additional measures in place.
“Jaynic has supported the event throughout the challenges of the past two years, and we are so grateful to have them on board for the third time.”
As well as being the main sponsor for the occasion, Jaynic teams have also walked for the past two years.
Nicola Barber, Jaynic’s Office and Marketing Manager, said: “I have really enjoyed being part of the Girls Night Out experience. The last two walks have been different, but they have still raised extraordinary amounts for the charity, and Jaynic is pleased to be part of that.
“We’re all looking forward to 2022’s walk and hope that as many people as possible will join us on Saturday, 10 September.”
Registrations for Jaynic’s Girls Night Out open on Friday, 1 April. The hospice would also love to hear from anyone who might be able to support the walk through volunteering. Hundreds of marshals and volunteers are needed to help ensure the occasion runs without a hitch.
