JAYNIC lead sponsor for St Nicholas’ Hospice sponsored pyjama walk in September

aynic, the developer of Suffolk Park, Bury St Edmunds; Gateway 14, Stowmarket and Haverhill Research Park is delighted to announce that it is the lead sponsor of the Girls Night Out sponsored walk in Bury St Edmunds on the 12th September 2020. Registration for walkers opens on 26th June.

The St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Annual Sponsored Pyjama Walk – dubbed the Girls Night Out – inspires people to raise £200,000 each year.

Nic Rumsey, managing director of Jaynic, says:

“We’re pleased to be the main sponsor of the 2020 Girls Night Out event. These are uncertain times for everyone, but we are proud to be helping a local charity do something amazing.

“The hospice helps so many people at the most difficult times of their lives and to be able to keep doing that they need the community’s support”

During these uncertain times there will be virtual version of the pyjama walk. Walkers will put on their comfiest trainers and pyjamas to take on their own walk and use government guidelines to stay safe. Walkers will set a distance and en-route share milestones and tributes to loved ones.

The Hospice team will use social media to bring together everyone such as walkers, marshals, sponsors, and members of the community.

While walkers participate, they will feel the warm support of the organisers’ virtual marshals digitally clapping their posts, also live video hosted by the hospice team will engage with all involved.

“Over the next few weeks, we will be preparing to launch registration on Friday 26 June, with a suggested donation of £20 to sign up and an option for people to collect sponsorship.”
