Jaynic wins development management contracts for M H Star at Bedford and Northampton

Jaynic has won the development management fit-out contract for London based consumer goods importer M H Star on multiple buildings in Bedford and Northampton.

The fit-out for M H Star will include internal reconfiguration, M&E and racking installations on the following buildings:

Bedford: Units 1, 2 and 3 G Park Wixhams, Bedford (161,374 sq ft, 126,132 sq ft and 249,219 sq ft respectively).

Northampton: Unit 1 and 2 Northampton Cross (250,000 and 104,000 sq ft respectively).

The appointment follows on from Jaynic’s original deal with M H Star at Suffolk Park, where they sold a 206,000 sq. ft warehouse to them and then undertook the development management of the internal fit-out. It has also recently completed a fit-out project for M H Star on a 226,000 sq. ft warehouse in Peterborough.

Arvind Panchmatia, M H Star’s General Manager – UK said: “It is very important to us that our warehouse opening programme is delivered on time and we have been very happy with Jaynic’s project management service on all our projects.”

Jaynic’s construction director, Jason Newman, said: “M H Star was looking for a fast-track fit-out programme at Suffolk Park which we were able to fulfil and as a result we have built up a close relationship with the company delivering buildings ready to move into, on time and on budget. This has resulted in the latest appointments at Bedford and Northampton.”

Over the last four years Jaynic has delivered over 1.4 million sq ft of warehouse and business space at Suffolk Park with a further 280,000 sq ft in the pipeline; it has recently won planning consent for 2.45 million sq ft of logistics, business and innovation space at Gateway 14, Stowmarket, Suffolk, adjacent to Junction 50 of the A14 and there are further commercial and residential developments on the drawing board in East Anglia.
