Sustainability and the environment are at the core of Jaynic’s development philosophy. We carefully consider and minimise the impact of our developments, from design and construction through to their operation by our occupiers. We look to deliver well designed, efficient buildings working with leading, best in class sustainability consultants. Jaynic embrace future-proofed development and we align ourselves to the aspirations of our occupiers.
We are members of Planet Mark. We have set net zero targets and 25% of our buildings will achieve net zero in construction by 2025, 50% by 2027 and 100% by 2030.
SUSTAINABILITY CREDENTIALS:
We aim to:

Achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating but as a minimum will achieve ‘Very Good’.
- Achieve a minimum EPC rating of A on all buildings

Provide electric car charging points and passive future proofed points.

Install systems to improve water consumption such as rainwater harvesting systems.
- Design LED light systems to minimise light pollution

Provide buildings with roof spaces capable of accommodating solar PV..
✓ 62.5% of our buildings delivered to date have achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
ENVIRONMENT CREDENTIALS:
We aim to:
- Achieve a biological net gain of at least/in excess of 10%.

Enhance wildlife on site with bat and bird boxes on buildings; provision of 'bug hotels’; planting of nectar-rich flowers; wood and brash piles to support invertebrates; and using fencing designed to allow mammal access.

Create attractive places for people to work with amenity areas and external seating.
